Policies

Suite Life Pet Resort and Spa strives to put everyone's health and safety first. To keep our employees and your pets safe, we must enforce certain basic requirements without bias or exception. Your cooperation in abiding by these policies will ensure a healthy environment for all. It is mandatory that you digitally sign this agreement before any of your pets can receive services at our facility. Even without signature you agree to abide by the standards set forth in these policies and contracts by using our facilities.

Play Groups

All dogs who come to our facility have the opportunity to participate in play times with other dogs. Dogs will be assigned into 4 different categories based upon the type of dogs they can safely play with. These groups are small dog, large dog, non-integrated play, or only together. Small dog play groups are with only small dogs. Large dog play groups are with only large dogs. Non-integrated play groups is where the dog is by itself, and only together is where siblings play only together. We strive to provide the safest environment possible. A dog who cannot play with  other dogs may still stay with us and will still receive the appropriate play time just like all  other guest. We reserve the right to refuse service for any dog that is found to create an unsafe environment for our employees and our guests.

Pet Breeds

We allow all pet breeds except for wolves and wolves hybrids due to insurance requirements

Puppy Requirements

Puppies must be at least 16 weeks of age before staying at Suite Life Pet Resort and Spa.  They must have had their rabies and their third or fourth round of puppy boosters, including Distemper/Parvo and Bordetella. You must wait at least 7-10 days after receiving the last round of shots for your puppy to be fully vaccinated and protected from illness. For boarding we also require a clean negative fecal exam.  All vaccinations and exams must be documented to have been given by a licensed veterinarian.  We do not accept home vaccinations given by a breeder, hand written vaccination records or titer test in lieu of vaccinations.

Spayed/Neutering

While it is not a requirement for boarding here at Suite Life, it is recommended your dog be spay or neutered before their stay. It helps to provide a safer environment for all dogs here. However, we do require all cats to be spay or neutered before their stay over the age of six (6) months! Any pets attending daycare must be spayed or neutered after 1 year of age. Any unaltered pet over 1 year will be permitted to stay at Suite Life but cannot be in playgroups.

In-Heat or Pregnant

We will NOT accept any dog who is pregnant or in heat when they arrive for their boarding. We reserve the right to turn away a dog who is pregnant or in heat at the time of check-in. If a dog comes into heat during her stay, she will not be allowed in any playgroups. We may require her to be picked up by the owner or emergency contact. If you require boarding services for a pet who is pregnant or in heat, it is recommended to stay with a veterinarian, so they can receive the proper medical attention they may require.

External Parasites

We strive to be a facility free of any parasites. Suite Life Pet Resort and Spa requires all cats and dogs to be on some form of flea and tick control. The staff will perform a once-over of each pet at check-in to ensure they aren't bringing any unwelcome guests into our facility. Should we find any fleas or flea dust on your pet, we will administer a Capstar pill at a cost of $10.00 per pill and will be added to your account. Capstar is a pill that when ingested, kills fleas within 30 minutes. It is not a preventative against fleas; it only kills the fleas that are currently on your dog. It does not interfere with any current monthly preventative you administer to your dog, nor will it cause any complications with any other medications your dog is currently taking. Capstar does not kill ticks.

We highly recommend all dogs be on Heartworm Preventative. For safety reasons, dogs diagnosed with Heartworms are not permitted in group play. Dogs undergoing Heartworm treatment are not permitted for any services.

Vaccine Requirements

Every dog who comes for daycare or boarding, must be up to date on their Rabies, Distemper-Parvovirus and Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccines, and for boarding or daycare they must have a clean fecal exam. Rattlesnake and Canine Influenza vaccines are highly recommended but are not required. All vaccines and exams must be documented and have been given by a licensed professional veterinarian. We do not accept home vaccinations, hand written records or titer tests in lieu of vaccinations.

Every cat must be current on their Rabies and Feline Distemper vaccines. All vaccinations must be documented and given by a licensed professional veterinarian. We do not accept home vaccinations, hand written vaccination records or titer test in lieu of vaccinations.

Medications, Serious Illness and Special Care

If your pet requires around the clock care or has any life-threatening illnesses, we highly recommend boarding with your veterinary clinic. If your pet had a recent surgery and has stitches or open wounds, we are unable to accept your pet for boarding. This is to prevent any possible infections and/or your pet busting the stitches. All medications must be in original containers and labeled for dosage, frequency and pet’s name. If your pet has active symptoms of illness such as coughing, sneezing, vomiting or loose stool we ask that you refrain from using our services until they are symptom free for 48 hours.
